Transportation Administrator

George Washington Regional Commission seeks candidate to support Policy Committee working w/regional colleagues on transportation planning & compliance w/local, state & federal transportation planning policies & regulations. Applicants must possess (i)Masters in Transportation Planning or related (ii)2yr exp in job offered or related position involving local/state or regional transportation planning, 2yr exp in supervisory capacity (iii)proficiency w/transportation budgeting & planning, (iv) working knowledge of (a) local, state & federal transportation policy, regulations & laws, (b)transportation finance, (c)transportation project development, (d)ESRI ArcGIS, transportation analysis & other technical tools needed for management & task delegation decisions, (v)demonstrated ability to present complicated data & analysis both orally & in writing; effectively manage professional staff; and, effectively work w/elected & appointed officials to implement transportation policies.

In lieu of Masters degree will accept Bachelor’s Degree + 5 yrs progressive exp equivalent to Masters as determined by reputable equivalency analyst. Pre-hire background check. Job in Fredericksburg VA. Resume to careers@gwregion.org.
