Executive Director

The George Washington Regional Commission (GWRC) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Executive Director responsible for directing staff, programs, and operations of the Commission. GWRideConnect Support & Outreach Coordinator

The George Washington Regional Commission and GWRideConnect are looking for a talented individual to actively engage with local vanpools and other rideshare operators, providing customer support and technical assistance, and to help promote GWRideConnect services throughout the community. The successful candidate will be skilled in coordinating services, managing accounts, and record-keeping in addition to possessing strong customer service skills. Specific qualities we are looking for are a self-starter with excellent communication skills, computer skills and the ability to learn new applications, organizational skills, attention to detail, and a flexible mindset. Knowledge of local transit options preferred with the ability to read maps and utilize mapping software such as Google Maps. The successful candidate must also have a driver’s license and be able to lift 20 pounds.

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator supports the George Washington Regional Commission (GWRC) staff in providing support to GWRC as a whole as well as across multiple programs, including but not limited to the Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care (CoC), and GO Virginia.

Transportation Planner II or III

The Transportation Planner II/III is expected to prepare, manage, and maintain short and long-range transportation plans and programs and works with other FAMPO staff as well as key stakeholders including federal, state, and local governments, elected officials, and the public. The successful candidate must exhibit thorough knowledge of planning theories, techniques of transportation planning and analysis, and applicable federal and state transportation regulations. The Transportation Planner III may be asked to manage consultant contracts and services, explain transportation issues to the public, and track regulatory and statutory changes.
